Jason Snyder grew up in Brooklyn and then, as tends to happen to people from New York, ended up in New Jersey.

He has been making things with his hands professionally since 2007, which is either a long time or not that long depending on how old you are when you read this. He co-founded Brainstorm, a design and illustration studio, because he had opinions about what things should look like and starting a company seemed like the most direct way to act on them. It’s working, more or less.

As of 2023 he is also currently the Art Director at The Ferm, the internal creative agency at Stonyfield Organic. It’s a small team of creative weirdos making work to support organic food and small family farms. Unlimited yogurt in the office is also something he never knew he wanted but now can’t work without it.

Jason embraces challenge in both digital and physical creative spaces, which is a polite way of saying he will design your logo and then go home and paint a mural on his garage. He is methodical about process in the way that people who genuinely love processes are methodical. Making and executing a plan doesn’t feel like work to him which is either a gift or a personality flaw depending on your perspective. His fearless approach to problem solving is matched only by his ability to be humorous and playful with every situation. The work is as approachable as he is.

He lives in the Seacoast with his wife Briana Feola and their dog Maple, who has no opinions about fonts and is better for it.
